How Is This List of Gluten Free Bakers Organized?
More than two dozen gluten-free bakers exist on this list. It is organized by geographic regions. In addition, there is an embedded map at the bottom of this post to help you find locations near you. This list is awesome. My fav is in the list – Sweet Bree’s!
“Bree” is definitely one sweet person!
Rumi’s Passion in Plymouth is amazing. And cheap! They have fresh Gluten Free soft Pretzels! And sugar cookies!
Sugar High in Frankenmuth is well known for their GF cupcakes. I do not believe that they have an exclusive GF kitchen, but they have wonderful cupcakes.
Thank you. I’ve actually been to Sugar High. 🙂 This list is only for businesses that are 100% gluten free, and Sugar High is not.
Margaret, you did not mention Ethel’s Baking Company in St. Clair Shores. Her products are sold in various markets as well as pick up at the bakery. Also, have you tried Just Delicious Scones Gluten Free. So good. This lady makes the gluten free scones in Ethel’s gluten free ovens. Just Delicious is at 28722 Utica Rd. Roseville, MI
Denise
Dear Denise, I did not mention Ethel’s because they are only wholesale, and they no longer have a storefront.
This list is mainly for those who are dedicated gluten free storefront bakeries, or cottage law bakers who take orders (and sometimes are at farmer’s markets.)
Ethel’s is included on my blog post about Michigan gluten free brands.
Also, Ethel’s is no longer in St. Clair Shores. They are now in Shelby Township. They moved over a year ago.
Thank you for mentioning Just Delicious. I looked at their website, and they appear to make non-gluten free items as well. This list is for dedicated gluten free bakers.
Sincerely,
Margaret Clegg
Hi Margaret,
I’ve been buying Gluten Free treats at the Royal Oak farmers market from Lisa Evans. Her business is Bossy B’s Bakery. Check her out if you haven’t had a chance. She doesn’t have a storefront but will do special orders.
Since my Granddaughter lives in the Lansing area we have had the opportunity to go to the Meridian Township Farm Market located behind Meridian Mall. Gluten Free Rox always has a booth there and I am telling you that her baked goods are Amazing! Cakes, pies and cookies are all the best. I have been gluten free for over 15 years and it is the best I have ever tasted. Everyone should check her out. I believe she only sells at Farm Markets.
I agree that Gluten Free Rox products are amazing. I love her adorable mini pies. 🙂 Thanks for your comment and for being such a devoted follower.
I was glad to see all the places for baked goods. I usually go to Rumi’s
Yes, we have a lot of great GF bakers in Michigan. Please know that many on the list are home based businesses.
Oh — an addition! The Village at Oxford Center!
Thank you for making this list. It’s amazing!!
