Disclosures

Medical Disclosure-

I am not a doctor, nurse, dietitian, or in any way a trained medical professional. My “expertise” is having lived with this disease for almost two decades. I rely heavily on information published on advocacy sites. These include Beyond Celiac, Gluten Free Watchdog and the University of Chicago Medicine Celiac Disease Center. I also confer with a local registered dietitian, Marge Pestka. This is especially true if someone presents with a question I don’t know the answer to. It’s always better to say “I don’t know” than to make up your own answer.

FTC Blogger Disclosure-

I receive products or services for free sometimes. I may even share about a business that has compensated me monetarily. The FTC states that we must declare this. I totally understand why. Most of us hate commercials. Please know that companies I work with are thoroughly researched by me beforehand. I’ll always disclose if I have been compensated in some way.

Comments Disclosure-

Those in the Celiac Disease community know that our needs aren’t often respected. That’s why it’s important that the words used in comments must respect one another. I reserve full right to take down damaging or disparaging comments. Let’s just be nice folks, okay?

Privacy Disclosure-

The only information I intentionally collect are the addresses of those who sign up for my newsletter. I NEVER, NEVER sell that information. That’s just sleazy and a big no way. And you may unsubscribe from my newsletter at any time. I get it, we all get a lot of emails.
