My biggest suggestion is to take steps to prevent cross contact. Bake gluten free desserts on a separate day when you're not using wheat flour. Use separate pots, pans and serving utensils. I'm sure she greatly appreciates that you're trying to accommodate her. Just keep the lines of communication open and ask her questions to clarify anything you're not sure about.

My daughter is having Thanksgiving dinner with us and it is my first time having to make things that are gluten free for her. I mostly always buy a Butter Ball Turkey, but trying to find the best possible sides to make for her including dessert. Reading over some of the things you have posted as well as peoples comments has helped me some. I am hoping and praying I am able to do a good job for her. I don't want her to be disappointed.

My favorite cream of mushroom is from Mom’s Place. My husband couldn’t tell it was gluten free! It’s nice to just add milk to a couple tablespoons of powder and have it taste homemade. We used it last night with meatballs for dinner.
Thank you for sharing all the information!
