Hello! Red Mesa is under new ownership & has chosen not to continue with many of the protocols they previously had to decrease cross contamination risks for celiac patrons, please ask a lot of questions when ordering if you choose any of this groups restaurants!

It’s located over on the East Bay side near 4 Mile Rd. Also on M22 in Suttons Bay is MI Market Suttons Bay. Beau and Katie sell Michigan made products and he does have GF products always on hand! He also makes homemade soups and pretty much every time I’ve gone in for soup one has been GF and allergy friendly!

They’re fantastic. Most of the menu can be made gluten free and is marked as such. My understanding is that that the owners have someone with celiac in their family, so they take cross contamination very seriously. Well worth a visit next time your up. They’ve also have a location in Boyne City as well.

In the Village, try Stella’s Trattoria. They are pricey but the food is excellent with GF options where the chef & staff are fully trained on celiac safe protocols. When you make your reservation, they ask if anyone in your party has special dietary needs / restrictions so they are prepared. On our last visit 2 weeks ago, our server marked up my menu highlighting the GF options or items that could be modified, very attentive!
