Archival Brewing, located just outside of Grand Rapids has an amazing reputation in the Celiac Disease community. Read my blog to learn more about the amazing gluten free options at Archival Brewing in Belmont, MI</p>

</div>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Why do you choose to offer gluten free options?</h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">We have several friends and family members with gluten intolerance, celiac, and allergens to gluten. Therefore we strived to create and offer items that would be safe for those that cannot have gluten.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Is your entire menu also free from any other allergens?</h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">We are also a peanut free facility. We have a few items that contain other nuts, and have pistachios in house for a couple dishes.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img decoding="async" width="600" height="600" src="https://miglutenfreegal.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Archival-Brewing-Steak-Hash-Brunch.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-89471" srcset="https://miglutenfreegal.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Archival-Brewing-Steak-Hash-Brunch.jpg 600w, https://miglutenfreegal.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Archival-Brewing-Steak-Hash-Brunch-300x300.jpg 300w, https://miglutenfreegal.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Archival-Brewing-Steak-Hash-Brunch-150x150.jpg 150w, https://miglutenfreegal.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Archival-Brewing-Steak-Hash-Brunch-500x500.jpg 500w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /><figcaption class="wp-element-caption">Steak Hash Brunch at Archival Brewing</figcaption></figure>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">What kind of oil do you use for frying/ cooking?</h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">We use soy oil for our fryers and many other dishes. We also use olive oil for a few items on our menu.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Do you use gluten free wheat starch or oats in your gf meals?</h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">No. We primarily use Bobs Red Mill 1-to-1 GF pastry flour. We use Udi&#8217;s for our Gluten Free sandwich buns and Gluten Free pizza dough.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Do you have a separate gluten free menu?</h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">No, we don&#8217;t have a separate gluten free menu. Our regular menu(s) indicates gluten free options with a &#8220;GF&#8221; or &#8220;GFO&#8221; for items. This highlights dishes which are already gluten free or can easily be made gluten free with optional ingredients.</p>

</div>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Do you have a separate prep area for gluten free dishes?</h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">No, we do not. We clearly state on our menu that we are not a dedicated gluten free facility. Our staff take extra precautions when preparing food allergen items.</p>

<div class="wp-block-group"><div class="wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained">

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Yes we have a few items that are or can be GF and vegitarian. We do not have a large enough demand to offer many or any vegan items. We can substitute items to make a vegan dish or two.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Is there an upcharge for gluten free items, and is it noted on your menu?</h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">I tested this recipe for Gluten Free Cinnamon Rolls over and over for you. I hope you love these as much as my non-gluten-free husband does! This post is sponsored by Relative Foods.&nbsp;</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">The One Food You All Voted For</h2>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="600" height="900" src="https://miglutenfreegal.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/20230521_091802-2.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-14069" srcset="https://miglutenfreegal.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/20230521_091802-2.jpg 600w, https://miglutenfreegal.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/20230521_091802-2-200x300.jpg 200w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Back in April of 2023, Relative Foods and I asked my followers, &#8220;<a href="https://www.facebook.com/miglutenfreegal/posts/pfbid0V1L1ZxVJggGvf5zttbzbsrpZmjuMfKbrZDvouP272phaRsZctFKtqkVExkxHcMpNl" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Which Recipe Do You Want Recreated Gluten Free</a>?&#8217; While some mentioned <a href="https://www.mamagourmand.com/gluten-free-coffee-cake/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">coffee cake</a>, <a href="https://www.asaucykitchen.com/spinach-feta-pie-with-an-almond-flour-crust/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">spinach pie</a> (which I may still attempt), and <a href="https://www.madegoodfoods.com/collections/crackers/products/sea-salt-crackers" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">oyster crackers</a>, the resounding answer was Cinnamon Rolls. And I get it. There is nothing better than a gooey soft cinnamon roll, slathered in sweet frosting. It may have taken me 6+ attempts, but I feel I have a winner with this recipe.&nbsp;</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">What is Relative Foods?</h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">I need my followers to understand something. When I use the term &#8220;<a href="https://www.cup4cup.com/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Cup4Cup</a>,&#8221; I am referring to a specific brand. I created this recipe for gluten free cinnamon rolls, starting with my popular gluten free crescent roll recipe. I didn&#8217;t attempt this recipe with any other flour blend, and I don&#8217;t plan to. In my baking experience, this is the best &#8220;all purpose&#8221; gluten free flour blend to use with yeast.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Glad you asked. Prior to attempting this cinnamon roll recipe, I&#8217;d never heard the term myself. I learned about this technique from reading King Arthur Baking&#8217;s website. Tangzhong is a rue of flour and milk. So many cinnamon roll recipes call for &#8220;scalding&#8221; the milk. However I get distracted and usually cook it too long. Using the tangzhong method allows the dough to hold on to more moisture. And soft and moist is definitely what we want for cinnamon rolls.&nbsp;</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">When I looked at how tangzhong was used in other recipes, it appeared to have a 1:3 ration. 1 tbsp flour for 3 tbsp milk. Therefore I chose to use 2 tbsp flour and 1/3 cup milk. (For those that are unaware, 1/3 cup equals five tablespoons + 1 tsp.) Learn more about using this technique for baking in Gluten Free on a Shoestring&#8217;s <a href="https://glutenfreeonashoestring.com/gluten-free-japanese-milk-bread-the-softest-bread-ever/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Gluten Free Japanese Milk Bread</a> Recipe.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">What Kind of Yeast Should I Use?</h2>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="600" height="900" src="https://miglutenfreegal.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/20230518_112117-1-1.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-14064" srcset="https://miglutenfreegal.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/20230518_112117-1-1.jpg 600w, https://miglutenfreegal.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/20230518_112117-1-1-200x300.jpg 200w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></figure>
</div>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">There are three kinds of <a href="https://www.kingarthurbaking.com/learn/resources/yeast" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">baking yeast</a> that people tend to use. Active, Instant and Fresh. I never use fresh, because I don&#8217;t bake with yeast all that often. While Instant yeast allows you to skip the proofing step, I find the active yeast works better in this dough. I tried my gluten free crescent roll recipe with these two yeast types, and found that the instant yeast produced a better tasting and softer roll.&nbsp;</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">When proofing yeast, it&#8217;s important that your water is &#8220;just right.&#8221; 110 degrees is the water temperature I prefer. I always make sure to add a tbsp of sugar to my water, as it helps the yeast to grow/ feed. I usually allow my yeast to proof for 10 minutes. Which is perfect for this recipe, as your rue can cool down while your yeast is rising.&nbsp;</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">How to &#8220;Roll&#8221; Cinnamon Rolls</h2>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="600" height="900" src="https://miglutenfreegal.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/Untitled-design-2.png" alt="" class="wp-image-14062" srcset="https://miglutenfreegal.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/Untitled-design-2.png 600w, https://miglutenfreegal.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/Untitled-design-2-200x300.png 200w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></figure>
</div>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">First, we need to chill. The dough that is. After you&#8217;ve combined all the ingredients for your dough, and allowed it to rise, it might be a bit warm. However, we want all that softened butter in the dough to be firm, so you can easily roll the dough. I allowed my dough to chill for 30 minutes, before rolling. Another tip- You can cover your dough with plastic wrap, to make rolling easier. The dough won&#8217;t stick to your rolling pin, that way.&nbsp;</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">You&#8217;ll rough your dough into a rectangle, approximately 15 x 9. While some people melt their butter and add their cinnamon and sugars to that, I prefer to add my softened butter separately. I look for it to be about the consistency of frosting. (I warm it in the microwave for 5 seconds,and then stir.) Then I sprinkle the combined Relative Foods cinnamon and sugars, and press it into the butter.&nbsp;</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Finally, use the edge of the parchment to help you roll your dough into a log. If you managed to sprinkle enough flour underneath, prior to rolling the dough, it should roll up easily.&nbsp;</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">P.S. My favorite rolling pin is this <a href="https://totallybamboo.com/products/tapered-rolling-pin" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">tapered rolling pin</a> from Totally Bamboo. It&#8217;s lightweight, which is easier on my wrists. Plus it&#8217;s simply beautiful. Easy to clean and care for, too. It only cost $19.99!&nbsp;</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">The Best Way To Cut Gluten Free Cinnamon Rolls</h2>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="600" height="900" src="https://miglutenfreegal.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/20230518_142105-1-1.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-14066" srcset="https://miglutenfreegal.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/20230518_142105-1-1.jpg 600w, https://miglutenfreegal.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/20230518_142105-1-1-200x300.jpg 200w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></figure>
</div>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">I know you just took the dough out of the fridge. But you&#8217;re going to want to place the rolled up log back in the fridge for a bit. All that butter in the dough is warm. We need it firm to be able to &#8220;slice&#8221; it. 15 minutes should be good. Then use dental floss (preferably not the minty kind) to &#8220;cut&#8221; through the dough.&nbsp;</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">To &#8220;cut&#8221; the dough, you&#8217;ll slide a large piece of floss underneath the log of dough. When you reach the halfway point, pull the opposite ends of floss towards each other. This will give you a cleaner cut than you&#8217;d get with a knife. Repeat this until you have 8 equally sized cinnamon rolls. After they&#8217;ve been cut, they&#8217;ll rise again for an hour before baking. **Note- Before baking, brush on some heavy cream. This keeps the tops of the cinnamon rolls moist while baking.&nbsp;</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">What Should I Serve with Cinnamon Rolls?</h2>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="600" height="900" src="https://miglutenfreegal.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/20230518_161553-1.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-14067" srcset="https://miglutenfreegal.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/20230518_161553-1.jpg 600w, https://miglutenfreegal.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/20230518_161553-1-200x300.jpg 200w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Great question. These gluten free cinnamon rolls would pair well with my <a href="https://miglutenfreegal.com/mashed-potato-crust-quiche/">Mashed Potato crust quiche</a> or a savory breakfast strata. Make Iowa Girl Eats <a href="https://iowagirleats.com/crock-pot-breakfast-casserole/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Crockpot Breakfast Casserole</a>, and free up space in your oven. My friend <a href="https://injohnnaskitchen.com/">Johnna</a> said cinnamon rolls are served with Chili where she comes from. <h2 class="wp-block-heading">How Do I Reheat Cinnamon Rolls?</h2>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="600" height="900" src="https://miglutenfreegal.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/20230521_091128-1-1.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-14068" srcset="https://miglutenfreegal.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/20230521_091128-1-1.jpg 600w, https://miglutenfreegal.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/20230521_091128-1-1-200x300.jpg 200w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></figure>
</div>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Because I live in a household of 2 (three if you count the dog), we&#8217;re not eating a whole pan of gluten free cinnamon rolls by ourselves. (Although my husband would certainly be willing to try!) After doing some research, I found that you can place the whole pan back in an oven, preheated to 275 degrees. On a separate rack, place a bowl of warm water, to create steam. Heat for 15-20 minutes.&nbsp;</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This is also why I recommend only frosting your cinnamon rolls individually. If you put a whole pan in the oven, with frosting, for 20 minutes, you&#8217;d end up with a hot mess. (Pun intended.) Plus, not everyone likes frosting. (Wild, I know.) So allow your friends and family to add their own frosting, and make it easier to reheat the pan, later.&nbsp;</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Can I Make the Dough The Day Before?&nbsp;</h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">I tested this recipe a 7th time, by making the entire recipe EXCEPT for baking it. I placed the rolled and risen cinnamon rolls in the fridge overnight. The next morning I removed the dish from the fridge, and allowed it to come to room temperature. I did this for 30 minutes. Then I preheated the oven to 350 and baked them for 30 minutes. They turned out absolutely perfect!&nbsp;</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Where is Mason Jar Cafe?</h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This past summer, we visited Michigan&#8217;s west coastlines. We explored St. Joseph, South Haven, and New Buffalo. Coastal towns that draw people vacationing from Chicago and others across the state. However, just a jaunt from the coastline lies Benton Harbor. This small town, the headquarters of Whirlpool appliances, presents its own unique finds. Enter, The Mason Jar Cafe.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="600" height="900" src="https://miglutenfreegal.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/Mason-Jar-Cafe-Menu-Waffle-Price-1-600x900.jpg" alt="The Mason Jar Cafe Menu Waffle Price" class="wp-image-5453" srcset="https://miglutenfreegal.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/Mason-Jar-Cafe-Menu-Waffle-Price-1.jpg 600w, https://miglutenfreegal.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/Mason-Jar-Cafe-Menu-Waffle-Price-1-200x300.jpg 200w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></figure>
</div>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">How Long Have They Been in Business?</h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">I forget when I learned of The Mason Jar Cafe. Sometime shortly <a href="https://www.secondwavemedia.com/southwest-michigan/devnews/the-mason-jar-to-open-in-benton-harbor-arts-district-0423.aspx" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">after this eatery opened in May of 2014</a>. Therefore, when I found ourselves in their neck of the woods, almost 3 hours from my home, it was time for a visit. Reviewers on Find Me Gluten Free leave great reviews about it. Indeed, it ended up being the perfect ending to our 15th anniversary vacation. I mean, how can one go wrong with gluten free zucchini bread waffles?! <a href="https://www.mlive.com/dining/index.ssf/2015/09/dig_in_mason_jar_cafe_in_bento.html" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">This MLive article states</a> these are the best waffles EVER.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="600" height="900" src="https://miglutenfreegal.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/Mason-Jar-Cafe-Gluten-Free-Zucchini-Bread-Waffle-1-600x900.jpg" alt="The Mason Jar Cafe Gluten Free Zucchini Bread Waffle" class="wp-image-5454" srcset="https://miglutenfreegal.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/Mason-Jar-Cafe-Gluten-Free-Zucchini-Bread-Waffle-1.jpg 600w, https://miglutenfreegal.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/Mason-Jar-Cafe-Gluten-Free-Zucchini-Bread-Waffle-1-200x300.jpg 200w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></figure>
</div>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">What Gluten Free Options are Available?</h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">I mean, this is a thing of beauty, is it not? The Mason Jar Cafe prides itself on using the freshest, and most local, ingredients that they can. They proudly list on their menu all the farms and businesses from which they procure ingredients.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Before ordering, I verified with our server that they take precautions for those with Celiac Disease. Indeed, they prepare these gorgeous waffles in a dedicated waffle maker. In fact, i believe it is the ONLY waffle on their entire menu. The whipped butter tied it all together.</p>

</div>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">I LOVE grits. Like, I seriously could eat them every day and not grow tired. However, add goat cheese to them and fry them and top them with an egg? Oooh dang. The Mason Jar Cafe speaks my love language, y&#8217;all. However, this plate belonged to my husband. My wonderful husband who intentionally ordered it gluten free and let me try some! The awesomeness doesn&#8217;t stop there.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image">

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Does the Mason Jar Cafe Serve Lunch?</h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">They serve more than just breakfast. The boast a complete brunch menu. (They close at 3 pm daily, so get there or be square.) Do you SEE what&#8217;s on this menu? Crab Cakes. Gluten Free Crab Cakes. I regretted not ordering any.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">However, my stomach felt so full, I couldn&#8217;t squeeze anymore in my tummy. (And the hubs has a severe intolerance to shellfish. Doctors say it&#8217;s not a allergy, but we don&#8217;t take chances.) Just means I need to return on a girl trip and eat ALL the crab cakes.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image">

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Great Food + Art Gallery</h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Mason Jar Cafe offers more than just food. You&#8217;ll find this unique eatery inside an art gallery. Sculptures greet you as you enter the courtyard. While waiting for your table (and expect a wait!), you can stroll inside and find art from various types of artists. Glass, paintings and sculptures keep you company while you smell all the aromas of the food they cook there. The surrounding neighborhood flourishes with local art as well. Make sure to not miss it!</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">So the next time you find yourself near Michigan&#8217;s west waterways, make the drive to Benton Harbor. Walk its streets and taste the eats at The Mason Jar Cafe. Do me a favor? Order those crab cakes and tell me how amazing they are!</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">These Gluten Free Cinnamon Rolls for Two are going to change your life. Or at the very least your breakfast menu. And since it makes two, sharing is TOTALLY optional.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">The OG Recipe is From Dessert for Two</h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">I wish I could take total credit for this amazing gluten free cinnamon rolls for two recipe. The brilliance of this recipe solely lies with Christina Lane of <a href="https://www.dessertfortwo.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Dessert For Two</a>. She graciously is allowing me to repost her original <a href="https://www.dessertfortwo.com/quick-cinnamon-rolls-for-two/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Small Batch Cinnamon Rolls</a> here, only in a gluten-free version.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="600" height="900" src="https://miglutenfreegal.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/chicken-pot-pie-Cup-4-Cup-flour-with-scale-1-1.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-11539" srcset="https://miglutenfreegal.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/chicken-pot-pie-Cup-4-Cup-flour-with-scale-1-1.jpg 600w, https://miglutenfreegal.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/chicken-pot-pie-Cup-4-Cup-flour-with-scale-1-1-200x300.jpg 200w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></figure>
</div>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">What Gluten Free Flour Do You Use For This Recipe? </h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">To be honest, modifying her recipe to make these Gluten Free Cinnamon Rolls for Two is ridiculously easy. All I did was simply swap the flour for Cup 4 Cup flour. That&#8217;s it. I&#8217;ve found that&nbsp;<a href="https://www.cup4cup.com/products/original-flour-blend/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener nofollow">Cup 4 Cup Multipurpose Flour</a> truly transforms any &#8220;regular&#8221; recipe into gluten free perfection. </p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Can I Use a Different Gluten Free Flour for This Recipe? </h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">I attempted to make these Gluten Free Cinnamon Rolls for Two with Bob&#8217;s Red Mill and with King Arthur Measure for Measure. I DO NOT RECOMMEND USING THEM. When I used those flours, it resulted in a drier and more crumbly cinnamon roll. Edible, but not enjoyable. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">&nbsp;</p>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="600" height="750" src="https://miglutenfreegal.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/Gluten-Free-Cinnamon-Rolls-for-Two-in-Pan.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-13498" srcset="https://miglutenfreegal.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/Gluten-Free-Cinnamon-Rolls-for-Two-in-Pan.jpg 600w, https://miglutenfreegal.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/Gluten-Free-Cinnamon-Rolls-for-Two-in-Pan-240x300.jpg 240w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></figure>
</div>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Just Like Grandma Used to Make</h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">I remember the first time I made these Gluten Free Cinnamon Rolls for Two. I followed Christina&#8217;s original recipe, and baked them in muffin tins, creating four cinnamon rolls. When my husband returned home and tried one, he almost cried. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">He said they reminded him of the cinnamon rolls his (now departed) grandmother used to make when he was a child. Christina&#8217;s recipe helped him relive his childhood memories, and it was priceless. That Christmas, I made them as gifts for every household in our family, and everyone raved about how delicious they were.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Why YOU will love these Gluten Free Cinnamon Rolls for Two</h2>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>NO yeast. So that means no rise time, which means the faster you can eat them!</li>

<li>NO egg. Missing baked goods due to an egg allergy? This solves ALL that.</li>

<li>NO need to share. Seriously, this recipe makes two (or four), so you don&#8217;t have extras laying around the house, and you don&#8217;t have to share. I mean, you can, but no shame in keeping these bad boys all to yourself.</li>
</ul>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">While these gluten free cinnamon rolls for two taste great any day, I find myself making them when I have milk that&#8217;s about to go bad. I hate to pitch out any food, and am always looking for ways to use up leftovers and &#8220;scraps&#8221; of things. </p>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="600" height="750" src="https://miglutenfreegal.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/Gluten-Free-Cinnamon-Rolls-for-Two-Closeup.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-13499" srcset="https://miglutenfreegal.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/Gluten-Free-Cinnamon-Rolls-for-Two-Closeup.jpg 600w, https://miglutenfreegal.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/Gluten-Free-Cinnamon-Rolls-for-Two-Closeup-240x300.jpg 240w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></figure>
</div>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Can I Make These Cinnamon Rolls Without Dairy? </h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">I have never attempted to make a dairy free version of these Gluten Free Cinnamon Rolls for Two. Previously, Cup 4 Cup Multipurpose Gluten Free Flour contained dairy. They have since removed the milk powder. Because of this, I increased the amount of melted butter in the dough. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">If you are looking for a gluten free and dairy free cinnamon roll recipe, you can try this <a href="https://theloopywhisk.com/2022/04/04/gluten-free-vegan-cinnamon-rolls/">Gluten Free Vegan Cinnamon Roll recipe </a>from The Loopy Whisk. (Please note that she does not use flour blends, but instead individual flours.) </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Minimalist Baker also offers a <a href="https://minimalistbaker.com/vegan-gluten-free-cinnamon-rolls/">gluten free &amp; vegan cinnamon roll</a> recipe on her website. She uses almond flour AND a gluten free flour blend in her recipe. </p>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="700" height="393" src="https://miglutenfreegal.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/Schar-strata-bread-cubed-min.jpg" alt="gluten-free savory breakfast strata made from Schar 10 Grains and Seeds bread cubes" class="wp-image-3847" srcset="https://miglutenfreegal.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/Schar-strata-bread-cubed-min.jpg 700w, https://miglutenfreegal.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/Schar-strata-bread-cubed-min-300x168.jpg 300w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /></figure>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">A Breakfast Solution for Early Mornings</h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">I wonder if you are at all like me. Each weekday our alarm rings at 5 a.m. Ungodly early, I know. But every morning at 5 a.m. I have just enough sense to know that I need to make the coffee. Then the next question is &#8220;What am I going to make for breakfast?&#8221; </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">If you struggle to figure that out, like I do, I may just have the solution! Bake this gluten-free savory breakfast strata one a free evening, and warm a slice in the microwave in the morning. That way you can start your day with whole grains, lean protein and lots of vegetables.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">What is a Strata? </h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">I love breakfast casseroles like this gluten-free savory breakfast strata, which is a layered casserole. They&#8217;re fairly easy to through together and allow you to use random ingredients from your refrigerator. </p>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="500" height="699" src="https://miglutenfreegal.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/Schar-strata-veggies-and-sausage-min.jpg" alt="This gluten-free savory breakfast strata is loaded with veggies and lean proteins" class="wp-image-3848" srcset="https://miglutenfreegal.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/Schar-strata-veggies-and-sausage-min.jpg 500w, https://miglutenfreegal.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/Schar-strata-veggies-and-sausage-min-215x300.jpg 215w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px" /></figure>
</div>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Health Benefits of This Savory Breakfast Strata</h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Onions contain Vitamin C and help boost our immune system. They also contain chromium, which help to regulate blood sugar. Spinach has many great health properties. Did you know it especially has anti-inflammatory properties, <a href="https://www.whfoods.com/genpage.php?tname=foodspice&amp;dbid=43" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">specifically within the digestive tract</a>?</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Spinach is also rich in iron, which is great for those who are still restoring their iron stores after suffering from anemia. I also added lean chicken sausage to this gluten-free savory breakfast strata. It keeps us fueled and feeling full longer than simply eating a bowl of cereal.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="700" height="370" src="https://miglutenfreegal.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/Schar-strata-baked-overhead-min.jpg" alt="This gluten-free savory breakfast strata recipe makes enough to feed a crowd!" class="wp-image-3849" srcset="https://miglutenfreegal.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/Schar-strata-baked-overhead-min.jpg 700w, https://miglutenfreegal.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/Schar-strata-baked-overhead-min-600x317.jpg 600w, https://miglutenfreegal.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/Schar-strata-baked-overhead-min-300x159.jpg 300w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /></figure>
</div>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Using a Whole Grain Bread to Up Your Fiber Intake</h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">I made this particular gluten-free savory breakfast strata with <a href="https://miglutenfreegal.com/2017/09/15/schar-10-grains-and-seeds-artisan-bread/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Schar&#8217;s Gluten-Free Artisan Baker 10 Grains and Seeds Bread</a>. Schar loaded this bread with whole grains and seeds that provide fiber to a balanced diet. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The <a href="https://www.eatright.org/resource/food/vitamins-and-supplements/types-of-vitamins-and-nutrients/ways-to-boost-fiber" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics suggests</a> that women consume at least 25 grams of fiber a day. However, most Americans likely only consume 15 grams a day on average. The multiple grains and seeds in this Schar bread will help boost your fiber intake as well as many other B vitamins.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="500" height="699" src="https://miglutenfreegal.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/Schar-Strata-baked-vertical-close-up-min.jpg" alt="Start your morning off right with a slice of this gluten-free savory breakfast strata" class="wp-image-3850" srcset="https://miglutenfreegal.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/Schar-Strata-baked-vertical-close-up-min.jpg 500w, https://miglutenfreegal.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/Schar-Strata-baked-vertical-close-up-min-215x300.jpg 215w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px" /></figure>
</div>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Great for Breakfast or Brinner</h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Back to this amazing gluten-free savory breakfast strata. Don&#8217;t be fooled by all the healthy items I loaded it with. It may be gluten-free, but it&#8217;s full of flavor! These savory ingredients combine to create one delicious meal. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Make this strata for dinner and then have leftovers for breakfast for the whole family the next morning. Or if you&#8217;re like me and go away for the weekend, your family may just eat every last piece before you get back!</p>
